Basic requirements for choosing a cables

• Electrical loading of the cable

• The amount of heat generated by neighboring cables

• Number of cables in the loom

• Ambient temperature of the surrounding air

• Whether the cable is going to be enclosed or in free air

• The thermal conductivity of the cable
