Multiple is a product of any quantity and an integer. In mathematical terms, y is a multiple of x; if y = nx where n is an integer.
For example, multiples of 3 are … -9, -6, -3, 0, 3, 6, 9…
3 x -3 = -9
3 x -2 = -6
3 x -1 = -3
3 x 0 = 0
3 x 1 = 3
3 x 2 = 6
3 x 3 = 9 (and so on)
Positive multiples of 3 are: 3(1), 3(2), 3(3), 3(4) and so on
= 3, 6, 9, 12….
