Rectifier
Rectifier is a device that allows electrons to flow only in one direction thereby convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). Rectifier circuits may be single-phase or multi-phase (three being the most common number of phases).
Rectifiers are classified according to the period of conduction. They are
- Half wave rectification
- Full wave rectification
